Three performance indexes of switching power supply

In terms of input anti-interference performance, due to the characteristics of its own circuit structure (multi-stage series connection), the general input interference such as surge voltage is difficult to pass through. Compared with linear Power Supply, the output voltage stability of Switching Power Supply can reach (0.5-1)%. As a power electronic integrated device, switching power supply module should pay attention to the following points in the selection:
5V 8A
1.Selection of Output Current

Due to the high efficiency of switching power supply, which can reach more than 80%, the maximum absorption current of electrical equipment should be accurately measured or calculated in the selection of its output current, so as to make the selected switching power supply have a high performance price ratio
Is=KIf
Where: is - rated output current of switching power supply;
If - maximum absorption current of electric equipment;
K-margin coefficient, generally taken as 1.5-1.8.

2.Grounding

Switching power supply will produce more interference than linear power supply. For common mode interference sensitive electrical equipment, grounding and shielding measures should be taken. According to the EMC limits of ice1000, en61000, FCC, etc., the switching power supply should adopt EMC measures, so the switching power supply should generally be equipped with EMC filter. For example, the HA series switching power supply of Lide Huafu technology can meet the above electromagnetic compatibility requirements by connecting its FG terminal to the ground or connecting to the user's shell.

3.Protection Circuit

Switching power supply must have over-current, overheating, short-circuit and other protection functions in the design, so the switching power supply module with complete protection functions should be preferred in the design, and the technical parameters of the protection circuit should match the working characteristics of the electrical equipment, so as to avoid damage to the electrical equipment or switching power supply.
