Notebook battery and power adapter

The Power Supply of notebook computer includes two parts: battery and power adapter. Battery is the power source of notebook computer outdoor office. Power adapter is the necessary device to charge the battery and the preferred power source of indoor office.

The essence of notebook battery is not different from ordinary charger, but manufacturers usually design and package the battery shell according to the model characteristics of notebook computer, and package multiple charging battery packs in a designed battery shell. At present, the mainstream notebook computers generally use lithium-ion batteries as the standard configuration. In addition to lithium-ion batteries, the batteries used in notebook computers include nickel chromium batteries, nickel hydrogen batteries and fuel cells.

When using notebook computers in offices or places with power supply, the power adapter of notebook computers is generally used for power supply. The power adapter can automatically detect 100-240V AC (50 / 60Hz) and provide stable low-voltage DC (generally 12-19v) for notebook computers.

The power adapters of notebook computers are all fully sealed and miniaturized design, but their power can reach 35 ~ 90W generally, so the internal temperature is high, especially in the hot summer, when touching the power adapter in charging, it will feel hot.

When the laptop is turned on for the first time, the battery is usually not full, so the user needs to connect the power adapter. If the laptop is not used for a long time, it is recommended that the user unplug the battery and store the battery separately. In addition, it is recommended to use the battery at least once a month to investigate and discharge the battery. Otherwise, the battery may fail due to over discharge.
