How to choose the right power adapter

The update speed of electronic products is very fast. Sometimes after several updates, the original power adapter cannot be found. What can I do to power the electronic products? For many people, the concept of power adapter only stays in the stage of charger, but in fact, power adapter is a kind of transformer, which is widely used in charger. The most important issue in choosing a power adapter is the matching problem. Most of the electronic products on the market, such as tablet computers, laptops, smart phones, etc., are universal. But there are also exceptions. To ensure compatibility, you can look at the parameters of the interface, output current and output voltage of the non original adapter when purchasing the equipment to see whether the parameters meet the requirements. If all meet the requirements, then the compatibility is good, and you can rest assured to buy. In a word, the power adapter must be selected according to the actual demand. If the wrong product is selected, it will affect the performance and even bring security risks.

The parameters of the power adapter are various, so the adapter can not be used for charging at will. Before selecting a power adapter, you must first determine three adaptation conditions.

1. the interface of the adapter matches the device;
2. the output voltage must be the same as the rated input voltage of the load (mobile device), or within the voltage range that the load (mobile device) can bear, otherwise, the load (mobile device) may be burned;
3.the output current of the power adapter should be equal to or greater than the current of the load (mobile device) to provide enough power.

The following is to analyze the above three adaptation conditions:
1.do not plug mismatched interfaces without professional knowledge, otherwise it will be dangerous;
2.for the reason why the voltage should be consistent, the principle is that the voltage is not enough to drive the load, and the battery cannot be charged normally. The popular point is that the supply exceeds the demand;
3.for why such a current configuration is needed, it involves the principle of the circuit. We all know that the Power Supply has internal resistance, and the greater the internal resistance, the greater the loss.
Therefore, the manufacturer will determine the no-load output voltage in a certain range according to the internal resistance when producing the adapter, and the current critical value corresponding to the voltage critical value is the current nominal value we see. The larger the current nominal value, the better the load capacity of the adapter.

So choosing an adapter with a slightly higher current will not damage the battery, but will make charging faster.
