Do you know all the signs on the power adapter's name plate?

In general, each power adapter has a name plate. Do you know all the signs on the name plate?

What do you mean by the nominal voltage and current of the power adapter (hereinafter referred to as the Power Supply)? First of all, the nominal voltage of the power supply refers to the open circuit output voltage, that is, the voltage when there is no load outside and no current output. Therefore, it can be understood that this voltage is the upper limit of the power supply output voltage.

If active voltage regulator is used in the power supply, even if the mains voltage fluctuates, its output is also constant. If the power supply with small transformers such as Walkman on the market fluctuates, the output of the power supply will not fluctuate.

Generally speaking, the real no-load voltage of ordinary power adapter is not necessarily consistent with the nominal voltage, because the characteristics of electronic components can not be completely consistent, so there is a certain error. The smaller the error is, the higher the requirement for consistency of electronic components is, the higher the production cost is, so the price is higher.

In addition, with regard to the nominal current value, no matter whether any power supply has a certain internal resistance, so when the power supply outputs current, it will generate voltage drop inside, resulting in two things: one is to generate heat, so the power supply will be hot; the other is to cause the output voltage to decrease, equivalent to internal consumption.
