The Power Supply of the notebook computer includes a battery and a power adapter. The battery is the power source for the outdoor office of the notebook computer. The power adapter is a necessary device for charging the battery. It is also the preferred power source for indoor office.
1. Battery
The essence of the laptop battery is not much different from the ordinary charger, but manufacturers usually design and package the battery according to the characteristics of the laptop model, and pack multiple rechargeable battery packs in a designed battery shell in. At present, mainstream notebook computers generally use lithium-ion batteries as the standard configuration. As shown in the figure on the right, in addition to lithium-ion batteries, there are several types of batteries used in notebook computers, including nickel-chromium batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries, and fuel cells.
2.Power Adapter
When using the notebook computer in an office or a place with power supply, the power supply of the notebook computer is generally used for power supply, as shown on the right. The power adapter can automatically detect 100 ~ 240V alternating current (50 / 60Hz) to provide a stable low-voltage direct current for laptop computers (generally between 12 ~ 19V).
Laptop computers generally use the power adapter externally and connect it to the host with a line, which can reduce the size and weight of the host. Only a few models have the power adapter built into the host.
The power adapters of notebook computers are all sealed and miniaturized, but their power is generally up to 35 ~ 90W, so the internal temperature is high, especially in the hot summer, when you touch the charging power adapter, you will feel hot.
When the laptop is turned on for the first time, the battery power is usually not full, so the user needs to connect the power adapter. If the laptop is not used for a long time, it is recommended that the user remove the battery and store the battery separately. In addition to using batteries, it is recommended to conduct a naked work of researching and discharging the batteries at least once a month. Otherwise, the battery may malfunction due to over-discharge.
